GlobalFoundries Manufacturing Automation Organization is seeking summer interns to support factory daily operations and is responsible for the automation equipment and mobile robotics platforms in the factory. The FAB 9 Manufacturing Automation organization is responsible for engineering support, development and continuous improvement of our factory operations.
Requirements
- Majoring in Engineering or Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
- Previous experience with robotics and automation
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Support design, assembly and integration of automated/robotic manufacturing cells
- Support enabling manufacturing cell readiness for future automation
- Support evaluation and improvement of existing or future automated equipment
Other
- Education – A sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor's
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
- Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
