TSMC is looking to solve the problem of digital transformation of their facilities using robotic systems, including automation of patrol and carrier, and integration of advanced automation into operations
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in robotics engineering (AGV, UAV, etc.), and end-to-end product implementation
- In-depth understanding of commercial robotic systems (e.g., Boston Dynamics, Universal Robots, OMRON, Tesla Optimus, specific AGV/AMR vendors), including ecosystem knowledge and application domains
- Familiar to the robotic simulation and training system such as ROS2, Nvidia Omniverse and ISSAC Sim, LLM, Jetson Thor and embedded system
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for robotic systems
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development and implementation of advanced robotic solutions, driving their integration into our digital transformation roadmap to enhance operational efficiency
- Architect, refine, debug, and localize robotic systems to ensure their technical specifications and performance are tailored to meet the specific and evolving operational requirements in TSMC Facility
- Collaborate with external designers and Facility engineering teams to guide the deployment of robust, high-performance robotic systems
- Implement best practices across the robotics development lifespan, ensuring successful and timely delivery of complex automation projects through seamless cross-functional collaboration
- Serve as technical expert between facilities, vendors, and internal stakeholders to understand core business problems and seek innovation as an actionable solution
Other
- Master's degree or higher in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a closely related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related Engineering role
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional technical projects, including defining scope and managing resources to drive successful outcomes
- Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders (internal teams, vendors, facility users)
