Booz Allen is looking for a Robotics Engineer and Interdisciplinary Scientist to help conceptualize, create, and execute government funded research and development programs for ARPA-H to accelerate better health outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, and MATLAB
- Experience with circuit design, microcontrollers, and embedded systems for robotic systems
- Experience with sensor or actuator integration and data fusion for simultaneous localization, mapping, and planning
- Experience with robotic operating systems for simulation, visualization, and communication between different components
- Experience with User-Centered Design for customer needs-driven engineering development
- Knowledge of AI and ML techniques for developing intelligent behaviors and robotic decision-making processes
Responsibilities
- support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems
- leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers
- producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs
- assisting with the management of current programs
- facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies
- support the research and development of robotic and unmanned systems across multiple operational domains and mission areas
- managing incoming requirements
Other
- Experience interacting and communicating with senior-level executives, including SES or GS-15
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
