Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Experience with CREO and VISIO software
- Knowledge of CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing procedures
- Familiarity with design verification and validation activities
- Understanding of medical device development and testing
- Experience with rapid prototyping and evaluation
- Knowledge of Safety requirements and guidelines, and SOPs
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing instruments and implants
- Using CREO and VISIO software to update CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing procedures
- Working with in-house prototype shop and outside vendors for rapid prototyping and evaluation
- Performing design verification and validation activities to ensure designs meet specifications
- Collaborating with in-house engineers, surgeons, and outside vendors to ensure high quality products
- Assisting with the creation of project plans and Design history Files (DHF) for each project
- Partnering with engineers on all aspects of various projects
Other
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline
- Strong self-starting skills, well organized, detail-oriented and capable of working in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
