Charles River Analytics is seeking to solve key problems for homeland security by pushing the boundaries of robotics and UUV technology
Requirements
- Operating UUVs or other uncrewed platforms
- Building and maintaining UUVs or other uncrewed vehicles
- Designing and fielding custom components (electrical, mechanical, software, etc.) for uncrewed vehicles
- Experience setting up and working in Linux computer systems
- Experience using electrical test equipment (multimeters and oscilloscopes)
- Experience with computer networking and network programming
- Experience configuring and programming UUVs
Responsibilities
- Operating UUVs and other uncrewed vehicles to meet customers' research and engineering goals
- Design and integrate new features and payloads into UUVs and other uncrewed vehicles
- Make design and implementation decisions that maintain the right balance of forward-thinking, project requirements, schedule, and scope
- Work with internal team members and customers to understand project goals and translate those goals into technical requirements
- Interact with customers (e.g., at project kickoff), users, and domain experts to analyze and understand challenges and to develop engineering solutions accordingly
- Contribute technical content to proposals and reports
- Assist in physical installation, fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting where needed
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, etc.) or related field
- 5 or more years of relevant and demonstrated experience
- U.S. Citizenship
- Willingness to assist in physical installation, fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting where needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
