Fameccanica North America is seeking a Robotics Software Validation Technician to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and productivity in their automated processes by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing robotic systems and automated equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, multimeters, and PLC interfaces.
- Ability to find root cause of a problem applying methodology
- Familiarity with industrial robot brands such as FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or Yaskawa is a plus.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in robotics maintenance or automation systems preferred.
- Validate implementation of electrical and pneumatic devices to meet customer acceptance standards
- Calibrate, test, and troubleshoot control circuits, components, and instruments
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and calibrate robotic systems and related machinery (conveyors, pneumatics, sensors, etc.)
- Program, troubleshoot, and support PLC systems, with specific focus on Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) platforms
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on robotic equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, software, and process control issues in automation systems
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams
- Monitor robotic systems for operational accuracy, performance, and safety compliance
- Collaborate with engineers and programmers to integrate or upgrade robotic systems

- You will be traveling to client sites up to 70% of the time.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts, if necessary.
