Amazon Robotics is looking for a System Engineer to oversee the installation, troubleshooting, integration, and commissioning of Amazon Robotics equipment in fulfillment centers, aiming to transform customer experiences through advanced robotics and software solutions.
Requirements
- Foundational knowledge of robotics, networked mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and develop technical documentation and process instructions.
- Strong foundational knowledge in robotics or complex electro-mechanical and networked engineering, including knowledge of robotic systems, components, and software.
- Ability to read technical drawings and/or reading CAD models to resolve on-site clash issues using 3D clash detection reports.
- Proven experience working on hardware integration or complex mechanical-electrical or networked industrial equipment.
- Practical understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP).
- Knowledge of robot specific experience (Fanuc, ABB), Allen Bradley PLC experience. C++, Python, Java, etc.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, integration, and commissioning of Amazon Robotics equipment in new and existing fulfillment centers (FCs).
- Deploying robotic equipment, including working with mechanical systems, electrical, configuring networking, and coordinating software systems.
- Provide technical oversight on the installation of both third party and Amazon designed robotics equipment.
- Lead the development of process documentation and modifying the existing processes when supporting new products.
- Support and guide installation of robotic technologies at Amazon fulfillment centers.
- Generate and implement continuous improvement ideas around their work-scopes and lead teams of other engineers on projects.
- Troubleshoot robotics systems to resolve escalations including quality hand-off, live order testing, site acceptance testing, operational readiness testing, monitoring robotics system performance, etc.

- Willingness to work primarily in a construction or warehouse environment in a field-based role.
- This position requires 75% travel.
- Valid US drivers’ license required.
- Relocation to Amazon Corporate offices in Seattle, Boston, or Austin will be required for the role.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
