Amazon is looking to deploy robotic equipment in new and existing fulfillment centers, requiring strong technical skills for installation, troubleshooting, integration, and commissioning.
Requirements
- Expertise in robotics, complex electro-mechanical systems, and networked engineering, including knowledge of robotic components and software
- Practical understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP)
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau)
- Familiarity with LEAN or Six Sigma
- Proficiency in reading, developing technical documentation, and writing process instructions
- Proficiency in standard office software tools and processes
- Experience handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, field-based construction or warehouse environment
Responsibilities
- Support and guide installation of robotic technologies at Amazon fulfillment centers
- Develop detailed knowledge of the operation of robotic systems and guide installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of these systems both on site and remotely
- Generate and implement continuous improvement ideas around their work-scopes and lead teams of other engineers on projects
- Oversee and resolve escalations during robotics deployment including quality hand-off, live order testing, site acceptance testing, operational readiness testing, monitoring system performance, etc.
- Deliver projects by owning key performance indicators related to on-time delivery, cost, quality, safety, and sustainability
- Capture lessons learned, conduct retrospective reviews, and drive continuous improvement projects
- Develop process documentation and modify existing processes when supporting new products
Other
- BS degree in Engineering or closely related STEM field
- 3+ years’ working on mechanical, electrical, IT networked, or software systems
- 2+ years’ experience with technical drawings and/or reading CAD models to resolve on-site clash issues using 3D clash detection reports
- 2+ years working in a field setting including construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environment
- 1+ years’ experience with troubleshooting robotics systems or other complex mechanical-electrical or networked systems
- Ability to demonstrate past use of data to drive decision making processes
- Ability to take independent initiative when presented with a business need
- 75% travel required, valid US drivers’ license required
