Insituform Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Robotics Technician to repair various robotic equipment, troubleshoot issues, and maintain inventory for pipeline rehabilitation.
Requirements
- A diploma from a technical school in robotics or electronics OR one year of hands-on experience in electronics and electrical troubleshooting is required.
- Must possess a working knowledge of electrical repair methods and equipment to include: soldering equipment, electrical meters, power supplies.
- Other equipment knowledge will include: milling and drilling machines, metal lathe, sanders/grinders, power punch press, and various power hand tools, drills, etc.
- Skilled with lathes, grinders, drill presses, and some welding.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, understand and follow electrical wiring diagrams and schematics, blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of the metric system is required.
- Ability to use independent judgment and initiative to complete projects on a timely and safe basis.
Responsibilities
- Works with Level 3 technician to mechanically and electronically repair robotic equipment.
- Assists in diagnosing cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Assists with supporting field crews in troubleshooting issues with robotics and equipment.
- Completes and submits shop repair orders, rework, and miscellaneous sheets to update individual utilization reports daily.
- Repairing various robotic equipment by utilizing prints and wiring diagrams
- maintain inventory levels of repair stock (e.g. bearings, seals, gears, etc.)
Other
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- Requires basic computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to listen and comprehend instructions accurately.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
