Boston Dynamics is looking to troubleshoot, test, and repair complex robotic systems for their Spot Robot fleet
Requirements
- Practical hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical systems and fabrication
- Computer skills (e-mail, spreadsheets) required, with command line or Linux being a plus
Responsibilities
- Debugging, testing, maintenance, and repairs of the world’s most advanced dynamic robots
- Create and maintain detailed records of issue resolution, logging events during the repair workflow, and accounting of parts consumed
- Apply knowledge of robot user interface and technical documentation
- Provide operator training, service, and customer support during field visits, through effective troubleshooting and repair techniques
- Prototype, build, and troubleshoot experimental hardware alongside engineering teams and researchers as required
- Interface with external partners to resolve issues and ensure customer success
- Manage and maintain inventory of service assemblies and hardware
Other
- Ability to explain technical issues to varied audiences
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
- Able to obtain a Passport
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Professional experience in maintenance, installation, service work in a related industry
