The Navy Maintenance and Modernization Enterprise Solution (NMMES) is looking to solve the problem of Agile transformation of a complex IT program supporting naval ship and submarine maintenance operations
Requirements
- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Agile methodologies, with at least 3 years in SAFe implementation
- Strong understanding of Agile and Lean principles
- Knowledge of both legacy systems and modern web application technologies
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
- Understanding of cybersecurity requirements for DoD systems
- Additional Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, PMI-ACP)
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and ongoing refinement of SAFe Agile practices across the NMMES program
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for transitioning NMMES teams to SAFe methodology
- Coach and mentor leadership, product management, and development teams in Agile and SAFe principles and practices
- Facilitate key SAFe events such as Program Increment (PI) planning, Scrum of Scrums, and Agile Release Trains
- Identify and address organizational impediments to Agile adoption
- Develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to track the progress and benefits of Agile transformation
- Collaborate with project managers and technical leads to ensure Agile practices align with program goals and deliverables

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to influence across all levels of an organization
- Up to 10% travel required
