IonQ is looking to solve the problem of developing and selling the world's most powerful full-stack quantum computer based on trapped-ion technology to the Financial Services industry
Requirements
- Knowledge in Quantum Computing Platforms, Algorithms, Applications (AI/ML at minimum)
- Experience selling IT Hardware infrastructure products/solutions to the FSI industry
- Experience with category creation selling i.e. creating compelling approaches to sell solutions that are not usually a named category in customer budgets
- Experience selling in the Capital Markets industry with a focus on Quantitative AI/ML solutions
- Existing relationships within Fortune 100 Financial Services Institutions (Banking, Capital Markets, Payments and Insurance)
- Existing senior-level relationships (CTO, CIO, BU Head, CXO) within the FS industry with proven ability to sell multi-million dollar deals
Responsibilities
- Develop a pipeline of sales opportunities for IonQ’s Quantum Computers, Networks, Applications and Access
- Qualify the opportunities based on budget availability, skills, interest, executive commitment, and timing
- Form proposals for access to IonQ’s system via the cloud, as a remote dedicated system, or an “on-prem” dedicated system
- Negotiate agreements and close business
- Drive customer satisfaction, bringing attention to the broader team for any inhibitors or concerns related to the relationship
Other
- An undergraduate degree in Science, Engineering, Math, Computer Science or another relevant technical field (STEM)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales/Business Development with quota carrying responsibilities
- Approx. 50% travel
- U.S. Person (e.g., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum) status for export controls and government contracts work
- Location: This is a remote role with preference for someone in the Tri-state area or Chicago
