Carnival Cruise Line is looking to solve the business and technical problem of providing defect resolution and functional enhancements for their reservation applications, specifically the Navigator booking application and its support apps, to facilitate billions of dollars worth of bookings each year. The internship program aims to address this by involving interns in a full-cycle enhancement initiative.
Requirements
- Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet when working remotely.
- Has familiarity with the .NET development stack (preferred)
- Has some exposure to SQL (a plus, but not required)
- Is proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Responsibilities
- Assist in the analysis and design of a selected enhancement request
- Support development efforts alongside the engineering team
- Participate in unit and system testing, and assist with UAT coordination
- Contribute to production deployment activities
- Help monitor and stabilize enhancements post-deployment
- Gain practical experience in analyzing and designing business-critical software components
- Learn the full lifecycle of software development and deployment
