Stantec is seeking a talented and motivated Developer with a strong background in database management and a passion for building innovative tools and applications to support data-driven decision-making across the organization, with an initial emphasis on Salesforce and growth into adjacent platforms.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in Salesforce, Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, Azure, Excel, and Oracle (Salesforce configuration with a Flows-first approach; Apex/LWC a plus).
- Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data-driven applications.
- Solid programming skills in SQL and familiarity with relevant scripting/automation languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and integration services.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Preferred: practical exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps) and Agile delivery practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement tools and applications utilizing Salesforce, Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, Azure, Excel, and Oracle to meet business objectives.
- Analyze, maintain, and optimize existing databases and data pipelines to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and security.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and Excel to communicate insights clearly to non-technical users.
- Develop automation solutions and workflows within Power Apps and SharePoint to streamline business processes.
- Ensure data integrity and quality across all platforms through testing, validation, and sound governance practices.
- Support modern delivery practices including CI/CD pipelines and Agile ways of working to improve reliability and release cadence.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in database management, application development, or a related discipline.
- Previous industry-specific experience (environmental, engineering, or other professional consulting) is considered an asset.
