The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is looking to support the continued growth of its Salesforce Program by delivering new features and maintaining existing product features within its complex Salesforce landscape.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Salesforce development with deep platform understanding
- Strong proficiency in Apex programming (triggers, batch Apex, schedulable classes, REST/SOAP)
- Extensive experience with Lightning Component Framework (LWC and Aura)
- Expertise in Salesforce integration using APIs (REST, SOAP) and middleware (e.g., Mulesoft)
- Mastery of Salesforce declarative development (Lightning Builder, Flow)
- In-depth understanding of Salesforce data modeling and management best practices
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce security and access controls (roles, profiles, permission sets)
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to contract developers, ensuring adherence to best practices in code development, configuration, and system architecture.
- Design and develop customized solutions on the Salesforce platform, including custom objects, flows, triggers, Apex classes, and Lightning Web Components.
- Ensure solutions align with Salesforce best practices and platform capabilities.
- Ensure high code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Design and manage complex data models, data migration, and data transformation processes within Salesforce.
- Implement and enforce security best practices to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies.
- Stay updated with Salesforce releases and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance system capabilities and user experience.
