General Motors is seeking a Salesforce Software Engineer to develop and support cutting-edge Salesforce solutions and contribute to GM Energy processes and business objectives.
Requirements
- In-depth expertise in Salesforce development (Apex, LWCs, Visualforce, SOQL)
- Experience with Salesforce integrations using APIs and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft)
- Working knowledge of additional programming languages and software design principles
- Strong engineering practices in a specific domain with demonstrated proficiency in software development, testing, and debugging
- Ability to manage multiple timelines and deliverables effectively
- Higher levels of education (Master’s degree)
- Experience with Salesforce integrations using APIs and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test Salesforce solutions, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWCs), Visualforce pages, and process automations.
- Develop automated test scripts and refine code for performance optimization.
- Apply foundational practices such as the software development lifecycle (SDLC), test-driven development (TDD), and version control.
- Leverage critical thinking and debugging skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in architectural and design reviews to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify opportunities to drive improvements in productivity and efficiency.
- Suggest novel solutions to complex problems and proactively contribute to team and project goals.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineer, Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of salesforce software engineering/development experience
- Ability to manage multiple timelines and deliverables effectively
- Self-driven with a proven ability to learn and grow with mentoring and guidance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within and outside the team
- Must report to the Technical Innovation Center in Austin (TX) or Warren (MI) three times per week, at minimum
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
