The University of Colorado Boulder is looking to solve the problem of analyzing plasma data from the Juno-JADE instrument and publishing scientific results.
Requirements
- Programming in Python
- Understanding of planetary magnetospheres
- Experience in publishing analysis of Juno data in the magnetosphere of Jupiter
Responsibilities
- Downloading the data, developing/adapting analysis tools, comparing the data with other particles and fields data from other Juno instruments, preparing and publishing papers on the scientific results, followed by archiving the output of the analysis.
Other
- A PhD in physics and/or astronomy
- Graduate level experience in plasma data analysis and planetary magnetospheres
- Onsite presence required at least 3 days per week
