To support ICF's dynamic growth and expanding client base in environmental health, specifically in identifying and quantifying the effects of environmental pollutants on human health and the environment.
Requirements
- Expertise in new approach methods (NAMs) or a related scientific field is highly preferred
- Doctorate in fields such as bioinformatics, mathematics, statistics, computational linguistics, computer science, data science, or related area
- Master's degree in an equivalent field, PLUS 4 years of additional relevant experience
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience with a Doctorate degree
- Expertise in computational methods, environmental modeling, and related support
- Knowledge of toxicology, hazard assessment, epidemiology, risk assessment, exposure assessment, and related support
- Experience with programming languages and software relevant to environmental health and data analysis
Responsibilities
- Support federal agencies, such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), in developing and evaluating traditional and computational approaches and new approach methods (NAMs)
- Provide support services to meet the goals of federal agencies
- Work on project work that addresses the full spectrum of potentially hazardous agents, including chemicals and microbes
- Identify and quantify the effects of environmental pollutants, such as metals, pesticides, and volatile organic compounds, on human health and the environment
- Develop and evaluate computational methods, environmental modeling, and related support
- Provide toxicology, hazard assessment, epidemiology, risk assessment, exposure assessment, and related support
- Work on projects that specialize in environmental health, including bioinformatics, mathematics, statistics, computational linguistics, computer science, and data science
