Improve XPO's operational and financial performance through data analysis and insights
Requirements
- Experience in at least one programming language such as Python, R, SQL, SAS, Spark, Java, etc.
- Familiarity with machine learning and statistical methods
- Solid foundation of statistics (hypothesis testing, outlier detection, statistical inference & analysis)
- Applied supervised and/or unsupervised learning algorithms
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large data sets to identify opportunities that will improve XPO's operational and financial performance
- Partner with technology and business stakeholders to create and enhance processes, software applications, metrics and decision-making
- Leverage data analytics and modelling techniques to improve overall operational performance
- Perform various analytics that range in complexity from descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive and cognitive depending on the project
- Apply Machine Learning, AI, statistical and/or optimization methods on an as needed basis
- Combine technical skills (computer science, mathematics) with business acumen to solve XPO's most critical problems
Other
- Strong communication skills with a knack for explaining complex topics simply
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or any related quantitative discipline
