OriGene is looking to expand its molecular biology and proteomic product portfolios by developing and launching new products and services to accelerate scientific breakthroughs and novel diagnostics.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with DNA cloning, gene editing, bioinformatics tools (e.g., SnapGene, CRISPR gRNA design), and protein/peptide analysis tools.
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and analysis software.
- Demonstrated expertise in molecular biology (e.g., cloning, PCR, CRISPR, viral production) and/or proteomics (e.g., assay development, biomarker analysis).
Responsibilities
- Develop and launch new molecular biology products and services.
- Design and implement development strategies to expand OriGene’s molecular biology and proteomic product portfolios, aligned with business goals.
- Define product requirements, applications, and value propositions through market research, customer feedback, and competitor analysis.
- Develop product roadmaps and identify opportunities in research, therapeutic development, and diagnostics markets.
- Independently design and execute experiments to support product innovation and improvement.
- Perform advanced molecular biology techniques: cloning, PCR/qPCR, CRISPR genome editing, DNA/RNA preparation, viral particle production, and vector design.
- Apply proteomics knowledge to product development, assay design, and characterization.
Other
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Proteomics, Immunology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, or related field with 1–2 years of experience OR Master’s with 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Prior experience in product development, strategy, and commercialization in the life science or biotech industry is strongly preferred.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and motivated to innovate.
