The mission of the Merchant Growth team at Uber Eats is to help new merchants realize their full potential on Uber Eats, from onboarding to getting their first orders. Example projects include reducing the time to merchant first order and determining how to balance new and existing merchants in the marketplace.
Requirements
- Strong Python or R foundation and expertise.
- Knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, optimization, economics, and analytics.
- Knowledge of experimental design and analysis.
- Analytical rigor in approaching product problems
- Technology and product experience
- Marketplace experimentation background
- Modeling or causal inference exposure
Responsibilities
- Generate product insights through analysis to influence decisions and what / how the team builds
- Design and analyze experiments to help the team learn, ship, and measure impact
- Lead product measurement for the team, including metrics design, implementation, and goal setting
- Scale data visibility and access through dashboards or other tools
Other
- Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields. (If Ph.D, or M.S. degree, a minimum of 1+ years of industry experience required and if Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3+ years of industry experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent).
