Entegris is seeking a Scientist, Product Development Co-Op to support projects driving profitable growth in the company’s Deposition and Etch Solutions group by establishing and scaling up synthesis and purification processes for advanced deposition materials used in high-performance semiconductor products.
Requirements
- 0-3 years of experience on chemical process development
- Basic understanding of synthesis, distillation, or sublimation processes on bench scale up to multiple kilogram scale.
Responsibilities
- In concert with technical staff, carry out experimentation to develop/scale up synthesis and purification of air- and moisture-sensitive inorganic and organometallic precursors for CVD/ALD applications.
- Document all experiments, procedures and results thoroughly.
- Maintain/own lab equipment required to perform the job (i.e. gloveboxes, fume hoods, glassware etc.).
- Pull chemical samples and submit to the lab for analysis.
- Carry out experiments that build fundamental understanding of new chemistries – materials of compatibility, vapor pressure measurement, boiling points, melting points, thermal stability etc.

- Must be a currently enrolled student
- Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.
- Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Should be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
