The NFL's Next Gen Stats team is seeking an experienced research analyst to assist in all facets of their offseason program, including creating and cleaning training datasets, validating data, building and maintaining research dashboards, and working on projects requested by broadcast partners.
Requirements
- Proficient in Python and/or R for statistical analysis
- Experience building analysis using football statistics
- Proficient writing complex queries using SQL
- Experience using BI tools such as Tableau or Quicksight
- Comfortable working with large sets of data
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and programs
- Strong attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Maintain and continue to improve Next Gen Stats research dashboards
- Assist in creating, cleaning training data and QA process for new Next Gen Stats metrics
- Help engineers re-train models for Next Gen Stats metrics
- Responsible for developing storylines based on own research within large data sets
- Assist in offseason projects to improve Next Gen Stats portfolio for third-party partner live game broadcasts
- Develop original storylines and datapoints that provide statistical analysis of events, news stories and topical issues
- Create social media content for Next Gen Stats social accounts

- Bachelor's Degree in related field
