Requirements
- Experience performing Line Replaceable Unit installation into mockup environments to troubleshoot and analyze to correct system discrepancies
- Experience reading, interpreting and executing statements of work, drawing packages, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Experience building and testing multi conductor cables of assorted wire types and the techniques necessary to test the finished item
- Experience with various test and measurement equipment
- Experience with Raytheon proprietary DSS-2A digital switching system product line and Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) Red Switches
- Comprehension of theory of operations of communications systems and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software to include Visio and OneNote
Responsibilities
- Identify customers’ needs provided in the form of service requests and shop orders, clarify information, answer questions, research issues
- Ensure systems perform according to necessary specifications and confirm operation to ensure production quality
- Prepare equipment for testing, document test results and maintain records
- Install System upgrades by following installation and user instruction guides
- Coordinates with other disciplines to address concerns arising from testing and prepare equipment for shipping
Other
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
