Verizon is looking for Security Engineering interns to enhance skills in areas such as 5G Technology, AR/VR, Python, Java, database management, access management, cloud security, data administration, identity and access management, incident response, and network security.
Requirements
- Coursework or demonstrated experience in scripting and coding (ex: Python, Java).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Knowledge of Network & Security protocols (ex: TCP/IP).
- Knowledge of Threat Management and Incident Response (ex: Splunk).
- Knowledge of fraud identification, key management, OAut
- Python, Java, expert systems software.
- Database management systems (e.g. SQL).
Responsibilities

- Ability to participate in our hybrid 10-week internship that takes place from June 2026 to August 2026, working a full-time schedule.
- Attendance at Verizon’s Irving V Teamer for a Day and currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree majoring in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related majors with a graduation date between December 2028 - June 2029.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
- Willing and able to travel.
