Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Kuiper Security team owns the security of product and operations of Project Kuiper end-to-end. We provide the necessary infrastructure and mechanisms to ensure the security of our satellite constellation and to protect the integrity and confidentiality of our customer data. Our team drives the research & development, deployment and operation of several mission-critical security systems and mechanisms. As the leader of Kuiper Security Incident Response team, you own the outcome of delivering high quality and timely response to reported high severity security issues that impact Kuiper and its customers. You are expected to strike the balance between speed and long term thinking to minimize the immediate impact to Kuiper and its customers and reduce long term risk through identifying long-lasting risk reduction mechanisms.
Requirements
- Knowledge of security of web services, telecommunications, embedded devices, cryptography, network security protocols and operating system security
- Experience leading an Incident Response function in a tech company
- Knowledge of information security technologies such as security design review, threat modeling, risk analysis, and software testing techniques
- Experience in managing an IR team that supports products ranging from embedded devices to cloud services
