Anthropic is looking to develop reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems to detect and respond to potential insider risk incidents.

Requirements

  • Engineering experience with DLP, SIEM, EDR, NDR, and SOAR technologies
  • Hands-on experience building or maintaining detection tooling and pipelines
  • Experience with large-scale data pipelines and anomaly detection
  • Track record of applying ML/AI to security problems
  • Experience with on-boarding logs and building custom detections/automations for complex environments
  • Direct experience building insider risk tooling
  • Experience with forensic analysis, correlating disparate data sources and uncovering meaningful patterns of anomalous behavior

Responsibilities

  • Support detection engineering for insider risk, contributing to the design and maintenance of detection rules, alerting logic and automation
  • Develop, refine, and operationalize insider threat indicators, scenarios, and mitigation strategies
  • Design, implement, and oversee data loss prevention (DLP) controls to safeguard sensitive information
  • Partner with investigators on technical investigations into suspicious activities, and generate high-quality investigative reports, assessments, and briefings on findings
  • Partner with engineering, IT and security teams to close visibility gaps and ensure telemetry coverage across endpoints, identity systems and collaboration tools
  • Translate business requirements into tooling for Insider Risk investigators
  • Build systems and integrations that allow the Insider Risk team to proactively detect and respond to potential insider risk incidents

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in software engineering with a focus on security
  • Ability to convey complex security issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders with clarity and impact
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in cross-functional environments
  • Location-based hybrid policy: at least 25% of the time in one of our offices
