MACOM is looking for a Semi-Conductor Reliability Engineering Intern to support product qualification tests and process reliability experiments on semiconductor circuits and test structures.
Requirements
Basic understanding of electrical measurements
Basic understanding of electronic principals, including understanding of semiconductor devices
Basic computer programming skills
Familiarity with data analysis software tools, such as Excel, MathCad, Minitab, or JMP desired
Responsibilities
Identify and prepare samples for reliability tests
Develop test fixtures and/or circuit boards for environmental tests as required; may include mechanical assembly and soldering
Make DC and RF electrical measurements
Execute qualification and/or reliability tests
Perform statistical analysis of measurement results
Support failure analysis as required
Report results, including recommendations for reliability improvement
Other
Completion of at least two years of a traditional four-year degree program, majoring in EE, Physics, Materials Science, or other technical discipline
Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
Be given an individual and well-defined project with set outcome goals
Gain hands on experience
Receive excellent training and ongoing supervision
