Nike is looking to hire a Senior Footwear Product Developer to drive product and process excellence within a team environment for assigned projects, converting project briefs and design renderings into samples that meet consumer and business needs, while ensuring projects are ready for commercialization and manufacturing.
Requirements
- Knowledge of footwear manufacturing technologies and equipment, tooling, and materials is highly preferred
- Understanding of product planning, forecasting, and process planning
Responsibilities
- recommend and specify the material, component and construction to meet key features and performance goals
- apply your understanding of sophisticated innovation concepts to the in-line product process and offering
- apply your expert level of footwear technical knowledge to drive product creation teams through 3D Prototyping, Bottom Tooling, Upper Patterns, Mold Design, Chemical, Materials, Costing, and Manufacturing to achieve project objectives in an efficient, effective, balanced, and timely way
- Working on complex footwear projects, you will convert a project brief and a 2D design rendering into a 3D sample that meets the needs of the consumer as well as the needs of the business
- You will utilize your knowledge and experience to enhance product excellence
- You will engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are managed according to critical dates and completed on time, while meeting design intent, performance goals, costing/profitability and sustainability targets
- You will ensure that your projects are ready for the commercialization process and can ultimately be manufactured
