Intelligrated Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Advanced Software Engineer to lead and implement PLC controls projects for integrated systems and subsystems in warehouse distribution centers and material handling machine control systems.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of Material Handling Equipment including high speed merging, high speed sorting, accumulation conveyors, VFD's, barcode scanners, HMI’s
- Strong knowledge of PLC configuration management and change management
- Highly skilled at creating complex PLC code using Rockwell Studio software, creating HMI/SCADA applications
- Experience in emulation and simulation of PLC projects
- Experience leading end-to-end of multiple projects or programs
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to the customer and other engineers using verbal and written communications
- Knowledge of system architecture, operation descriptions, functional specifications and interfacing documents for equipment
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, including project requirement analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
- Lead and implement PLC controls projects for integrated systems and subsystems, specifically in warehouse distribution centers and material handling machine control systems, encompassing conveyor, merge, and sorter subsystems.
- Contribute to project planning, reporting, and management while overseeing financial, technical, and timeline aspects to recognize project success.
- Manage multiple high-risk projects, taking ownership of PLC content and ensuring consistency among projects, documentation, and support.
- Ensure 100% compliance with phase gate reviews, delivering all project outputs on time, and engaging in monthly project reviews alongside Project Managers and Program Managers.
- Review and optimize complex project and standard library PLC (programmable logic controller) code.
- Review and optimize Ethernet IP network configurations (including screens, reports and HMI – Human Machine Interface).
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science or related field and six (6) years of experience in job offered or acceptable alternative occupation
- Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in the stated fields and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation
- Approximately 50% domestic/international travel required
