Honeywell Aerospace Technologies is looking for a Senior Advanced Software Engineer to develop low-level software for aerospace electronic systems, including board support packages, RTOS integration, and device driver development. This role is crucial for enabling application teams to develop their applications on these systems, which are used in a wide range of aerospace products.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Embedded SW Development Experience (Full life cycle)
- Strong experience with Embedded RTOSs, such as VxWorks®, GreenHills, Linux, Integrity®, Deos™
- Experience in networking and computer communications as well as Aerospace embedded software development experience
- Experience in the following: C & C++ language, Assembly language, SW verification, SW certification, and/or DO-178 B/C

- Generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities.
- This role involves low level SW development of board support packages, including RTOS integration, device driver development and debugging of HW and SW in the development on aerospace electronic systems.
- We create the systems that support application level engineering for products such as guidance and navigation, satellite payload processing and mission computers.
- Design, implement and test advanced software solutions for aerospace applications.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- A DoD Security Clearance
