Uber is seeking to develop AI-powered applications to unlock automation, insights, and operational efficiency across its global Finance and Accounting organizations.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with LLM frameworks and tools like LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI APIs, or similar.
- Experience building functional POCs and prototypes in Python or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with FinTech or enterprise finance workflows and platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, data warehouses).
- Strong understanding of AI integration, prompt engineering, and RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) techniques.
- Experience with synthetic data generation and evaluation for LLM applications.
- Familiarity with cloud-based ML infrastructure (e.g., Vertex AI, AWS Sagemaker).
- Prior experience delivering AI solutions in Finance or Accounting domains.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of an AI roadmap for Finance and Accounting in partnership with Finance leadership.
- Build rapid POCs leveraging large language models (LLMs), LangGraph, ADK, and other AI/ML tooling.
- Evaluate and experiment with open-source and proprietary AI tools to develop bespoke automation solutions for Finance.
- Translate finance requirements into working technical prototypes that demonstrate feasibility and value.
- Work closely with Engineering partners to transition successful POCs into production systems.
- Ensure technical documentation, testing, and knowledge transfer are completed for handoff.
- Track adoption, performance, and feedback for AI-powered applications post-deployment.
Other
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in a technical role developing financial technology software or products with at least 2 years in AI/ML or LLM-driven solutions.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to influence Finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in managing and mentoring technical talent.
