Abbott is looking to solve business problems in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division by developing innovative ML-enabled features on a novel device and cloud platform, and applying data engineering, data science and machine learning approaches to improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or similar with an emphasis in artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience, in Software Engineering, Data Engineering or Big Data
- Software development experience, ideally in Python, PySpark, Java, C
- Knowledge of or direct experience with Databricks and/or Spark and with Azure
- Practical Knowledge of Linux
- Database creation/usage experience to manage, store and query multimodal datasets (e.g,. PostgreSQL, Mongo, etc.)
- Proficiency in common AI/ML programming languages (at least one of): Python (preferred), R, Julia, or MATLAB
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of innovative ML-enabled features on a novel device and cloud platform
- Big data engineering, data wrangling, and data analysis in the Cloud
- Contribute to defining and implementing Big Data Strategy for the organization
- Drive the implementation of solutions for the business
- Build data analytics capabilities to uncover customer, product and operational insights
- Develop data pipelines capable of handling complex data sets quickly and securely
- Operationalize data science solutions
