Scion Technology is looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer – Conversational Systems for a high-growth digital organization to own the end-to-end development of cutting-edge voice and messaging applications using NLU, dialog management, and conversational UX design.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years focused in NLP/NLU or conversational AI
- Hands-on experience with IBM Watson or comparable conversational platforms
- Proficiency in Java, Python, R, and JSON; familiarity with Node.js and JavaScript
- Experience developing dialog interpreters, bots, or virtual assistant tools
- Solid grasp of conversational UX best practices (e.g., disambiguation, slot filling)
- Familiarity with large language models and cognitive testing methodologies
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and refine voice and chat-based conversational AI tools
- Train and test custom speech and acoustic models to support natural, effective interactions
- Enhance speech synthesis using SSML and custom phonetic pronunciations
- Continuously monitor and optimize dialog performance and user satisfaction metrics
- Generate actionable insights through analytics and improve conversational workflows
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and organizational policies
