DigitalOcean is looking to leverage advanced AI/ML knowledge and hands-on research in generative AI to drive outcomes through teams and build and enhance products that leverage these advanced capabilities.
Requirements
- Leveraging advanced AI/ML knowledge and hands-on research in generative AI
- Expertise in AI/ML, particularly in generative models
- Expertise in large language models (LLMs) and generative AI
- Strong knowledge in AI/ML, GenAI, infrastructure, and developer tools, particularly in creating content generation pipelines
- Experience with LLMs, transformers, model inference, pre-training, fine-tuning, data platforms, and infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Engage in researching and benchmarking generative AI models
- Evaluate technology partners
- Play a key role in building and enhancing products that leverage these advanced capabilities
- Guide teams to major deliverables with knowledge and expertise in AI/ML, particularly in generative models
- Own a technical area by providing technical leadership for a team focused on advanced AI/ML innovations
- Drive large cross-functional projects independently to completion, emphasizing the integration of creative AI technologies
- Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure they are aware of the cutting edge and can leverage knowledge into products
Other
- Define business requirements to deliver through a team and communicate with different audiences
- Able to make effective trade-offs in regards to both engineering, product, research, and business, while balancing short term and long term needs
- 8+ years relevant industry experience in a fast-paced, high growth tech environment delivering business outcomes
