DigitalOcean is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to drive outcomes through teams by leveraging advanced AI/ML knowledge and hands-on research in generative AI to build the simplest scalable cloud
Requirements
- Strong knowledge in AI/ML, GenAI, infrastructure, and developer tools, particularly in creating content generation pipelines
- Experience with LLMs, transformers, model inference, pre-training, fine-tuning, data platforms, and infrastructure
- 8+ years relevant industry experience in a fast-paced, high growth tech environment delivering business outcomes
Responsibilities
- Guide teams to major deliverables with knowledge and expertise in AI/ML, particularly in generative models
- Own a technical area by providing technical leadership for a team focused on advanced AI/ML innovations
- Drive large cross-functional projects independently to completion, emphasizing the integration of creative AI technologies
- Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure they are aware of the cutting edge and can leverage knowledge into products
- Evaluate technologies and potential partners to find the best fit for DigitalOcean
- Participate and support in engineering excellence
- Independently complete projects from planning to completion with high autonomy

- Define business requirements to deliver through a team and communicate with different audiences, leveraging expertise in large language models (LLMs) and generative AI
