Reddit is seeking an Android Engineer to build features that enable moderators to create and grow meaningful communities, ensuring the moderation system is simple and easy to use so moderators can focus on cultivating thriving communities.
Requirements
- At least 4+ years of experience as a software engineer developing user-facing Android mobile native applications at scale, using Java or Kotlin
- Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages; Java, Python, Go, Rust, C++
- Additional knowledge around GraphQL, REST, HTTP basics, and the ability to design maintainable APIs is a plus
- Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android development practices
- Familiarity with reactive frameworks (RxJava, Kotlin Coroutines)
- Experience and or desire to learn and work in other tech stacks such as backend, web, or iOS
- A passion for learning and adapting to new technologies that you lacked prior experience with
