Xylem is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to provide advanced engineering and technical support for custom-engineered heat transfer products, addressing critical water challenges through innovative and sustainable solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with heat transfer design and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- knowledge of 2D/3D software (AutoCAD, CREO/ProE) preferred.
- Experience with CRM systems and thermal design software (HTRI, ASPEN).
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Select, rate, and quote standard and engineered heat exchanger products to meet customer specifications.
- Perform thermal analysis to determine optimal sizing and configuration.
- Adapt standard and engineered equipment to meet application requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing for design and cost estimating.
- Price heat exchangers using cost programs, price books, and available data.
- Prepare and review proposals, contracts, and submittments for municipal and industrial projects.
- Review and compare POs to Quotes as needed.
Other
- 5+ years of experience in the rotating mechanical equipment or heat exchanger industry preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and task management skills.
- Travel up to 10% may be required to support customer meetings and project execution.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering.
