Microsoft Teams is looking to reinvent the way people communicate and work together by delivering next-generation innovations and experiences leveraging, fine-tuning, and prompting engineering foundation models for Microsoft CoPilot and other generative AI products.
Requirements
- Experience conducting applied science experiments, creating and validating metrics, and working with ML pipeline and modeling algorithms in the area of Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval, and Machine Learning.
- Experience developing and deploying conversational and language understanding models at scale.
- Experience with commercial product development and a commitment to improving user experiences.
- 4+ years of experience in software development, preferred hands on experience on developing AI Applications.
- Experience with Systems Design and Development in AI.
- Experience following and advancing best practices for Responsible AI and Privacy Preserving Machine Learning.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, validate, and ship AI-powered features end-to-end for Microsoft Teams across desktop, web, and mobile clients.
- Maintain and improve system performance, reliability, latency, and scalability of AI-powered features in production.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, telemetry reviews, and continuous delivery processes.
- Drive exploration of hybrid AI experiences (cloud + edge + LLM) for responsiveness, privacy, and enterprise value.
- Collaborate closely with Microsoft Research, Microsoft AI groups, Microsoft Azure, AI platform teams, and product teams to create the next generation of AI innovation in our products and services.
- Prompt tuning, fine tuning, and RAG system development.
- Evaluation, A/B testing, and experimentation.

- Collaborate with Program Managers, Designers, and Researchers to define product requirements, timelines, and measurable success criteria.

- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics predictive analytics, research) OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) OR equivalent experience.
