Coinbase is looking to build its Marketing Mix Model (MMM) from the ground up to measure and optimize marketing effectiveness, guiding investment decisions and driving smarter, data-backed marketing strategies.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining Marketing Mix Models (MMM) or Media Mix Models (MMM)
- Expertise in regression, econometrics, causal inference, or Bayesian modeling
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, model development, and automation
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations
- Experience working with marketing data (media spend, conversions, attribution, campaign data)
- Background in consumer tech or similarly fast-paced, data-rich environments
- Experience with marketing effectiveness or spend optimization modeling
Responsibilities
- Build and own Coinbase’s Marketing Mix Model (MMM) from the ground up to measure and optimize marketing spend effectiveness across channels (e.g. Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
- Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Data Engineering to translate business goals into measurable frameworks and actionable insights
- Develop and maintain robust statistical and econometric models that drive budget allocation and ROI optimization
- Conduct deep dives into marketing performance data to uncover drivers of growth and inform strategic decisions
- Contribute to experimentation and causal analysis efforts to validate model accuracy and inform future iterations
Other
- BA/BS in a quantitative field (e.g. Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science) with 5+ years of relevant experience, or PhD with 3+ years

- In-person participation is required throughout the year.
