Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field
• Experience applying cognitive engineering or human factors in healthcare or medical device environments
• Familiarity with usability testing methods, workflow analysis, and human-centered design
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, AAMI, NMPA, IEC 62366-1)
• Familiarity with prototyping tools (e.g., Axure, Figma) and data analysis software (e.g., R, Python)

Responsibilities

• Conduct cognitive task analyses with radiologists, technologists, and clinicians
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design user interfaces for imaging systems, patient monitors, and digital health tools
• Lead usability evaluations and human-in-the-loop simulations to validate design decisions
• Translate cognitive insights into actionable design requirements and risk mitigation strategies
• Support regulatory submissions by documenting human factors engineering processes
• Contribute to the development of AI-enabled decision-support tools that align with clinical reasoning processes

• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex cognitive insights into actionable design recommendations
• Able to work in fast paced environment. Must possess exceptional team skills
• Master’s degree or PhD in Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field with at least 10 years of applied experience
