UNFCU is looking to enhance and architect data warehouse and data lake solutions, extract data (ETL), and test it to meet the company's data storage, modeling, and visualization needs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Data Architect Role
- 4+ years of strong working knowledge in Datawarehouse
- 4+ years software development experience on Microsoft data products
- Proven work experience in ETL development using Microsoft SQL Server Platform and Oracle DBMS
- Proficiency in SQL, including query performance tuning, index maintenance, and understanding of database structures
- Knowledge of ETL tool like SSIS, Azure pipeline, Synapse Analytics, Data factory
- Ability to analyze big-picture data needs for the organization
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Data management teams to understand the company's overarching data requirements.
- Maintain and improve existing processes; ensuring that data architecture remainsscalable and maintainable.
- Gather requirements and business process insights to transform data to support end-user needs.
- Design and code data warehousing and data lake system to desired specifications.
- Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
- Extract company data for migration to the new data warehousing environment; conduct testing to validate functionality and data accuracy post-migration.
- Analyze data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, communicating findings to end-users, and proposing effective solutions.
