BNY Mellon is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to join their People Engineering team to consult with internal business groups, provide application software development services, and support technical needs within the organization.
Requirements
- Must have some knowledge on or both the user-side frontend of a website, as well as the backend, server-side that powers the user-side.
- Experience in using a specific application development toolkit and knowledge of front end and backend development coding languages such as Java, HTML, NodeJS, CSS, JSON, Angular, JavaScript, and Python
- Must also have knowledge in application frameworks and containerization.
- Job holder must be knowledgeable about cross-platform interoperability (multiple platforms i.e. NT, Intranet, etc.) , major tools in a toolkit for a specific platform and features of multiple toolkits.
- S/he must be experienced at resolving hardware, software, and communications malfunctions and understand the business impact of resolving complications.
- Experience in using a Oracle HCM, Oracle OIC or Visual Builder Cloud Service a plus. Familiar with Oracle SQL
- 2-6 years of experience in software development required
Responsibilities
- Consults with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services or technical support.
- Provides application software development services or technical support in more complex situations.
- S/he analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes and interfaces with other systems.
- S/he also ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved by coordinating, coding, testing, implementation and documentation.
- Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code.
- Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites.
- Execute full lifecycle software development.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
- Demonstrate teamwork.
- Collaborate closely with all the other members of the team to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts that the team has committed to.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
