L3Harris is looking for a Receiving Quality Engineer to design, develop, and implement standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products to ensure compliance with design data and contractual/regulatory requirements. This role will analyze nonconformities, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions to meet customer and company product quality standards.

Requirements

  • Specialty in mechanical or electrical parts/assemblies.
  • Experience in quality control tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of process performance metrics.
  • Understanding of quality assurance measures and process techniques.
  • Familiarity with AS9100
  • Working knowledge in Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
  • Practical knowledge of Quality Inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of customer and company products in compliance with design data and contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs analysis on reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical systems, field and clinical data.
  • Further investigates the cause for discrepancies and nonconformities to develop disposition and recommend corrective action plans.
  • Leads material review board investigations and activities.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Serves as the primary interface to customers and L3Harris functional departments for quality related matters respective to incoming material.

  • Proven ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Will require the ability to pick up and move material weighing up to 35 pounds
  • Must have an exsisting DOD security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
