Caterpillar Inc. is looking to define the requirements and architecture for bringing an autonomous site system together, focusing on system integration for multiple systems in a connected environment.
Requirements
- Proven ability to work on production products through design, implementation, customer rollout, and support.
- Ability to decompose complex customer requirements into achievable technical requirements for the systems that make up the product.
- Knowledge and experience with Autonomous Systems, preferably a Cat Command system such as Command for Hauling, Dozing, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of the Caterpillar Command ecosystem in mining or construction, or other centralized control system architectures which can be drawn upon for design proposals and decisions.
- Constantly staying abreast of advancements in the Autonomy and mining industries.
Responsibilities
- Applying new technologies to improve the capabilities of an autonomous site
- Decomposition of Customer requirements into Site System (L8) Requirements
- Work closely with System teams (L6) to determine the best way to deliver site features. Ensure clear documentation and traceability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Autonomous Site Solution

- This position requires the candidate to work 5 days a week in our Mossville, IL office.
