Arkana Laboratories is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design and develop enterprise software solutions that support laboratory operations and client-facing applications, optimizing and expanding their ConnectApp for external client use, while ensuring secure, compliant system design in a healthcare environment.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Typescript, Node.js, Python, C, .NET or other modern backend languages.
- Advanced experience with MS SQL Server and database design principles for scalability and high availability
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure; additional experience with AWS is a plus
- Strong background in REST API design and implementation for web and mobile applications
- Experience with cloud infrastructure architecture and server configuration
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Hands-on experience with version control systems, particularly Git
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and design application databases to meet organizational needs
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available application databases in on-premises and multi-cloud environments
- Develop robust APIs and backend services for web and mobile applications
- Utilize ORM tools and frameworks for efficient database interactions and data modeling
- Develop new applications and integrate with existing systems across platforms
- Ensure systems are designed for scalability, performance, and high availability
- Architect and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions
Other
- 3-5 years of backend development experience, preferably in multi-cloud environments and healthcare or regulated industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience designing scalable and highly available systems
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities
- Excellent communication and mentorship abilities
