Requirements
- Infrastructure or back-end engineering
- Utilizing one of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, or C/C++
- Developing software solutions for Blockchain technologies
- Developing software applications for the Bitcoin Blockchain
- Writing high quality and well tested code
- Complex systems design and implementation
- Using data to influence decisions
- Off-the-shelf coding and deployment solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS)
Responsibilities
- Build software enterprise-ready infrastructure for an open payment protocol for the Internet.
- Build new software financial systems, services, and processes accessible to everyone.
- Design, build, scale, and maintain production services.
- Build a deep understanding of the business and collaborate with the community to make core protocol and implementation improvements.
- Create a rich services layer to serve the next set of users and use cases bringing Lightning to mass adoption.
- Build software frameworks to collect and deeply analyze internal data for the purposes of solution improvement.
- Extend Lightning via advanced functionality that solves the next wave of complex problems and introduces the company to broader audiences.
Other
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 3 years as a Backend Engineer or related occupation. Alternatively, in lieu of a Master’s degree, employer will accept 7 years of experience. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
