Chime Engineering is scaling to meet the financial needs of its members and needs senior engineers to work on its real-time rules engine.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks
- Experience working with transactional databases and caching systems
- Exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications
- An appreciation of maintainable and well-tested code
- Enjoyment in learning and diving into the deepest levels of how things work
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale backend systems that support real-time decisioning across multiple integrations
- Develop robust, low-latency APIs and services that power our self-serve rules engine used by internal risk and operations teams
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product managers to ship features that directly impact member experience and operational efficiency
- Contribute to platform reliability and performance through thoughtful architecture, observability, and automation improvements
- Help evolve our experimentation, policy lifecycle, and ML integration workflows to support faster iteration and smarter decisions at scale

- 5+ years developing software in a production environment at scale
