onX is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help take their off-pavement mobile GPS experience to the next level by working on new features and products, solving hard problems, and working with new technologies.
Requirements
- primarily work in Go running in Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform
- knowledge and experience working with GraphQL
- understanding or experience working with graph databases
- experience building and debugging distributed, scalable architectures
- comfortable designing and building microservices that run in a cloud environment
- well-versed in modern API design and development
- strong computer science foundation
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable services to support new features and products
- Write unit and integration tests
- Assist in the creation, deployment, and management of services in Kubernetes
- Collaborate in architectural decisions involving our services
- Design and Instrument systems to monitor key performance indicators
- Mentor and share knowledge with engineers on your team

- 8+ years of experience as a software engineer and 6 or more years of experience supporting production systems
- strong interest and experience with operating systems, networking and virtual machine technologies
