Verkada is looking to build cloud-managed intercom systems and needs a backend software engineer to drive technical direction and lead teams on project execution to deliver best-in-class products and experiences
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry backend software engineering experience
- 2+ years of professional experience as a backend engineer at a rapidly growing start up or innovative company
- Deep expertise with relational databases
- Postgres experience a plus
- Demonstrated expertise in either Python or GoLang
- Experience with Kubernetes a plus
Responsibilities
- Architect scalable systems and design latency sensitive applications for our Intercoms deployed around the world
- Collaborate cross functionally to design complex systems with simple and robust backend APIs
- Own backend systems end-to-end
- Resolve problems that span beyond team boundaries
- Drive technical direction and lead teams on project execution
- Ship out significant products
- Develop cloud-managed intercom systems

- BS or a graduate degree in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or science
